HOW TO RECEIVE A GOAT

'Goats on loan' are given to a group of women, called an Ubuntu Goats Community.

As a rule, a Community consists of 5 women, receiving 5 goats.

To start an Ubuntu Goats Community:

Set up a group of 5 women, one of whom at least has experience with herding goats.
Enter a request to start an Ubuntu Community by sending a motivational email to info@ubuntugoats.com. This email should include
- the names of the 5 women who want to join;
- the place where you want to launch the New Ubuntu Community;
- your experience with goat herding.
If your request is accepted, you will receive 5 West African dwarf goats 'on loan'.

On what basis is a Start-Up Request granted?
The decision to fund a new Ubuntu Goats Community is made, based upon:

the distance from other existing Communities;
knowledge about goat herding by at least one of the start-up members;
the availability of sufficient financial reserves in the Ubuntu Goats Fund, to finance the launch of a new Community.

The people of the Ubuntu Goats Community act as a group and are co-responsible for the 'goats on loan' and all of their offspring.
They have to take care of all of the basic needs (shelter, food, health care) of their 'goats on loan' and of the goats born from these goats.
