A GOAT. A WOMAN. AND YOU.
If someone you've never met, could have a different tomorrow because of one small thing you do today — and no, it's not money. What would you do?
Somewhere in The Gambia, a woman is about to receive an Ubuntu Goat.
But what if she received even more than that?
What if, together with her goat, a shelter and everything she needs to begin, she also received something that money cannot buy?
What if she also received... someone to share the journey with her — the small victories, the difficult moments, the births, the surprises — someone to watch as one goat slowly becomes a herd.
Imagine a woman in a Gambian community whom you have never met, standing beside her goat.
And imagine that she knows that: she has not only received a goat. Somewhere far away, there is now also a person who knows that she has just begun a journey. Someone who knows what she is trying to build. Someone who hopes she succeeds.
We call that person an Ubuntu foster.
Not someone who supports her financially, but someone who cares about what happens and shares it with her.
And that person could be you.
But why does Ubuntu Goats need fosters?
Because money can buy a goat, a shelter, food and medicine.
But money cannot do one very simple thing.
Money cannot CARE.
People can.
An Ubuntu foster can.
And that is why we need YOU.
