Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 August 2026
Thank you for visiting Ubuntu Goats. By accessing or using this Website, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.
1. Purpose of this Website
Ubuntu Goats is an informational platform that connects Ubuntu Communities with people and organisations who may wish to become Ubuntu Champions and support them.
The information on this Website is provided in good faith for general informational purposes only. Nothing on this Website constitutes a contractual offer, guarantee or legally binding commitment by Ubuntu Goats.
2. Role of Ubuntu Goats
Ubuntu Goats provides information, creates connections and helps Ubuntu Communities take their first steps.
Ubuntu Goats is not a party to any agreement, relationship, understanding or arrangement that may arise between an Ubuntu Community and an Ubuntu Champion.
Ubuntu Goats does not negotiate, supervise or enforce arrangements between them and does not manage, supervise or control the day-to-day activities of Ubuntu Communities.
Ubuntu Goats does not select the women who participate in an Ubuntu Community. Each community makes that selection itself.
3. Use of the Website
You may use this Website only for lawful purposes and in a respectful manner.
You agree not to:
- misuse the Website or interfere with its proper operation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website, its systems or related services;
- introduce malicious software or harmful material;
- use the Website in a way that infringes the rights of another person or organisation;
- submit false, misleading, unlawful or abusive information.
4. Participation
Submitting an application, subscribing to Ubuntu Community Updates, registering an interest or expressing a wish to Foster an Ubuntu Community does not create any right to participate in Ubuntu Goats, receive support or provide support.
Participation is voluntary and always depends on the circumstances, wishes and decisions of the people and communities involved.
5. Independent decisions
Ubuntu Communities and Ubuntu Champions remain free to decide whether they wish to begin, continue, change or end their relationship.
Each Ubuntu Community remains responsible for its own decisions, activities and use of any support it receives. Each Ubuntu Champion remains responsible for deciding whether, when and how to provide support.
6. No guarantees
Ubuntu Goats seeks to encourage cooperation, transparency and mutual respect. Nevertheless, Ubuntu Goats cannot guarantee:
- that an Ubuntu Community will receive support;
- that an Ubuntu Champion will provide or continue to provide support;
- that an Ubuntu Community or Ubuntu Champion will continue participating;
- that communication or cooperation between parties will continue;
- that information provided by another participant is complete or accurate;
- that any particular social, financial, agricultural or personal outcome will be achieved.
Ubuntu Goats cannot guarantee the conduct or performance of any individual, community or organisation.
7. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the text, photographs, illustrations, graphics, logos, design and other content on this Website belong to Ubuntu Goats or are used with permission.

Names, logos and materials belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Accuracy of information
Ubuntu Goats makes reasonable efforts to keep the information on this Website accurate and current. However, information may become outdated, incomplete or incorrect, and local circumstances may differ considerably.
Content about goats, animal care, communities or projects is general information only. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified veterinarian, legal adviser, financial adviser or other appropriate local professional.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
11. Force majeure
Ubuntu Goats shall not be responsible for a delay, interruption or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. These may include natural disasters, drought, disease outbreaks, epidemics, armed conflict, political instability, changes in law, transport disruption, failure of communications or utilities, or other unforeseen events.
12. Changes to these Terms
Ubuntu Goats may update these Terms of Use when the Website, the initiative or applicable requirements change.
